It is nice to have a "Trifle Bowl" for this recipe. You can get them at Target for around $20.00, or watch for them at a garage sale. This is a beautiful recipe and very impressive, especially if you use a trifle bowl!

Can I use strawberry instead of cherry? Sorry, I don't like cherry! :-D
ReplyDelete-SG
SG, this recipe was created to use PIE FILLING. If you do not care for cherries, I would think that perhaps blueberry pie filling might work? I do not care for blueberries myself, so have never attempted it. The original recipe that I received was for canned cherry pie filling.
ReplyDeleteStrawberries are pretty juicy and might make a "mush" out of the whole thing.
I will keep an eye open for strawberry recipes for you!
