For "Older Folks" who find it difficult to keep up with this generation!

It is very difficult to be "cool" when you are no longer that! I will just continue to be myself and hope that someone will enjoy my experiences! Join me, you seniors!

Latest Buzz

We deafies got notified a short time ago that there was going to be an interpreted Disaster meeting in the next down on December 1st -- last night.
Well, when you live on the Coast, ONE Disaster Plan does not fit all! Everything depends on your location, how close you are to the ocean, the Columbia River, etc. etc. It so happened that this particular meeting had nothing to do with ME, since I am only 3 blocks from the ocean itself and to "escape" I would have to cross 2 bridges, both with rivers underneath! 'Understand, you cannot drive if there is a Tsunami warning or an Earthquake coming, the roads would be havoc, with panic and traffic jams. You must WALK (if you know where to walk to!). I could scramble to the top of Tillamook Head, a 6 mile trek (if the trail is not muddy) and it is all UPHILL. Puff, puff, I think not! I could take my chances legging it over two bridges, if someone did not push me out of the way before I began. I could remain in my own home, with the understanding that I would probably become part of the oceanic food chain within minutes. (Or) like the nice man remarked, I could wait for some nice fireman to come by and hoist me over his shoulder and carry me away to safety! My response? "Oh please, let it be a Calendar Fireman!"
Whatever happens, happens. We were not designated to be here forever!
Yours, Lantana
