General Update

An online friend contacted me and wanted to know if I was "allright" because I had not been posting in my Blog. Yeah, I guess I am okay, the days keep going by, or rather whizzing by. Perhaps that is because I get up late and it get's dark so danged early! The most comfortable thing to do is crawl into my Tempur Pedic with the electric blanket on HIGH and watching the News or a Netflick flick. Both cats sleep with me now, or perhaps I should say ON ME! Their warm bodies are so comforting!

Some bad luck last week. Our farm flooded, due to heavy rains for several days in a row and I had over an inch of water and silt in the shop and the apartment area. Talk about depressing! I even found a Chum lying in the backyard! My daughter and her sig other came down and rented a water exacuvator which was a Godsend, but we had to throw all of the area rugs in the garbage. Or rather into the back of Joe's 350 Ford Pickup for a later trip to the local dump. I don't even know where the dump IS! Hey, that's a guy-job!!

Update on Jeeves, he can be a giant pain in the posterior. He get's hung up in the most unlikely places and gobbles up the cats' toys. He can really gobble up the dirt, tho. Nobody's perfect! At least he puts himself away when he is done.

I had the front slider replaced with a French Door. With this type of door I can open both sides and wheel Lenny's cage out onto the deck and use my steamer on it. I was afraid to use the steamer inside the house, figuring I would wind up cleaning bird poop off of my cedar ceiling! Arrrrgh! As things stand it looks like I will have to wait until next summer for some decent weather to work in! Ahh the joys of living on The Oregon Coast!

My oldest grand daughter and her husband come down and help me around the house. They have two toddlers, one boy will be 3 in February and the baby, Joey will be a year old next month. Too many December birthdays!! But now I can use my "age" and just send money. Who wants to shop with 125 mph wind gusts? I used to. :(

I enjoy writing in my blog, but first I have to have something to say! So if I am AWOL occasionally it is because my life is going through a quiet period.
